The type of braces used for jaw surgery will largely depend on:

• The severity of the bite and skeletal imbalance
• Surgical team’s feedback after the assessment
• The discipline and compliance of the patient to Invisalign wear
• Patient’s lifestyle preference for work, school and social life.

Any type of fixed braces can be used for surgery first jaw surgery; such as traditional coloured braces, Damon q or Damon clear ceramic braces.

Sometimes, auxiliaries like micro-implants/ Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD’s) may be indicated by our surgical team or our braces specialists but this is on a case by case assessment.
